Some reading this are aware that I was a teacher before I started freelancing. There are many things I miss about my time as a teacher, but I’ve come to realize I haven’t left that side of me at all.
Since very early on in my business, I’ve turned to teaching to help others. That’s why I started this blog, in fact. I wanted to help as many people as possible live the kind of lifestyle that is best for their family.
Some people love the quote that those who can’t do, teach. That might be true to some degree, in certain situations. But I think the quote to the left is much more common and important.
There are a great many people in the world who are incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They are so enthusiastic that they can’t help but share what they’ve learned with others.
I’m always learning and growing, but am proud to say that I feel more than qualified to teach others how to live the lifestyle I live. It’s changed my life and the lives of many others throughout the last six years.
Few things make me feel as good as when I get a note in my email inbox from someone who expresses that what I taught them, helped them save their home or helped them stay home with their children. That is the power of teaching.
I know with absolute certainty that there is something you can teach others that will change their life. Too many people shy away from creating products and taking people under their wing to teach them a valuable skill, lesson, or lifestyle. But I think you’re doing others a disservice by holding back.
Get out there and start teaching– you have the knowledge and skill. You never know whose life you’re going to change.
