Article Marketing Case Study – Day 2

I have now written a total of 6 articles for one niche site. My toddler was NOT happy today, so I didn’t get as much work done on this as I would have liked. I also had client work to attend to :)

Needless to say, I got a sale from this case study! This is great since it’s just been a day since I started this campaign. I’m not very happy with my click-through rate. I sort of wonder if there are other marketers scoping these articles out since this is a niche that pretty much everyone is into.

In total I’ve had 41 click throughs and 484 views. That’s only an 8 % click-through rate, and I’m normally in the 40% range or so. I’ll keep testing, though!

1 sale down, hopefully many more to go!

Why don’t you follow along and test some new niches if you need a boost in article marketing? :)

Jenn,

Do you see more click thru rates depending on the
niche you choose.

Hey Thom,

Honestly, it seems to have more to do with the style of resource box I choose. If I’m in a hurry and don’t take the time the results can be dismal no matter what the niche.

If I craft a good resource box, I generally get a great click-through rate :) I’ve written some articles for my Christmas sites that are converting at 70%!

The articles I referenced here are a mystery – I think they are good, but apparently I need to rethink for this niche. I suppose it’s always about testing :)

By the way, I’ve had to put this project on hold because of all my ghostwriting client work :( I hope to revive it next week, because the results were starting to get exciting.

Hi Jenn,

I came across your article marketing case study. I’m anxious to follow your results and correlate to 2 that I am running myself. I really agree that a well crafted resource box can be the difference between success and failure.
I look forward to reading more in your upcoming posts.
